Description
Help Inc. is a non-profit organization in western Oklahoma. It is run entirely by volunteers and donations, their main focus is supplying a place in which those in need can obtain food. However, they also provide for specific needs on a case-by-case basis. This might be in the form of pharmaceuticals, gasoline for transportation, or a ride to the doctor’s office–it all depends on the need.
As a designer my goal was to emphasize the friendly, helpful aspect of Help Inc. and not dwell on the need. For one, the needs address take many forms. Secondly, dwelling on needs might point out and alienate those in need. Another concern I had in mind in designing the identity was Help Inc.’s user of volunteers and meeting new people. This is one of the big motivations behind the name tag design.
