Description
This artifact was inspired by a beneficial side effect of bathroom exhaust fans which have a tendency to produce sound that conveniently masks the ‘sonic by-products’ of toilet use. Thus, the goals of my artifact are to (1) detect if and how the toilet is being used and (2) automatically produce a sonic mask appropriate for the situation. This is accomplished by way of an Arduino with a Tinker Kit shield and a few sensor components.
