Description
This is a proposal for a system that deploys a communal music playlist that allows an establishment’s clients to play a role in determining their sonic atmosphere. The ultimate goal of the application is to more firmly attach the users to the physical establishment.
The HotSpot Jukebox would utilize captive portal technology to direct any user logging into a certain wifi router to be directed to home page that displays an interactive music playlist for the physical space that is hosting the wifi. By way of laptops as well as other browser-enabled devices, users could manipulate what music will be played over an establishments speakers.
